Hi Nancy,

I had a similar experience once upon a time, and your story brought the memory of it all back. I enjoyed your story. I hope you're doing well!

What a revoltin' development! Hot dogs and a sorry, disgruntled grandma, what a day to record in your memory bank of the good and not so good. I loved every descriptive word........Kath

What? You mean you're not perfect? I am shocked. You had me fooled!

Eons ago, my mother once cooked a turkey like yours, and we carved off the cooked part on the outside and put the bird back in the oven. It never hurt us, but we didn't know about food poisoning and such back then. Nowadays there are plenty of ways to figure out if the turkey is done, so we shouldn't have to go through these moments of "is it, or isn't it?"

Terrific story as always, Nancy, one that apparently has gone down in your family history.

Very funny. But it prolonged the dinner and family time (= And you handled it well and it was still a special time for your Grandma.

good job, good writing...but you're making me hungry (=
