Kathe dear,
Another great story, but then, I'd be surprised if it wasn't top-notch. Congratulations for being published in another Chicken Soup book series, and let it be an incentive to keep on writing and sharing with others. Wouldn't it be nice to slide Manitoba, Kansas, and Montana closer together so that you, Maria and Nancy could visit in person regularly? Sisters are such a special blessing and make life more bearable in many ways. I remember Pat Lowe from earlier writings you shared about her. No doubt she would approve of the friends you've told us readers about in this fine story.
Looking eagerly forward to your next post here on Our Echo.
Love and smiles across the miles,
Sandi in FL.

How nice it is to read more about the Sisterhood!

Dear Miss Sneaky Pete,

You never said a word about writing this, Kath. And believe me, it brought a few tears to this middle sister. First for our mutual friend, Pat, who was such a delight, even though I knew her only from out internet writings and chats. And then for the wonderful things you said about our sisterhood, you, me and Maria. The bond is strong and grows ever stronger with words like those you wrote.

My love and a hug,
Nancy

OK, Kathe, you brought this sister near to tears with your wonderfully penned words. Letting the world know that we three are sisters by heart might make them see that it is possible to be related by words alone! What a lovely depiction of our friendship. I'd like to cement it further by visiting the two of you as soon as time allows. Wouldn't that be a reunion of hearts!
With love, friendship, and sisterhood,
Maria

Kathe, you continue to astound and humble me. This story reminds me of two important things, perhaps three. I have a younger sister whom I dearly love, 2000 miles away from me, but always close to my heart. Like you, I have two internet friends, met through brief notes sent about respective writings. They are diverse, opposite in philosophy and personality, both younger than I; and I would be bereft without them to turn to in sadness and joy. They make me laugh, cry, upset when they are upset, and stronger in spirit when they uplift me. One is Kathy Baker, the talented "accidental writer" who never fails to make me feel like a better writer than I am. The other is Ginger Boda, another online writer, and one I was priviliged to meet in CA in 2005. She lives in the same area as my sister. A character in my second book has her name, at Ginger's suggestion making her a young, sexy Marilyn Monroe type. And you, Kathe Campbell, have become my third online friend/sister/kindred spirit/whatever you want to call it...maybe even my hero. God bless and keep writing and living on the edge! Kathe - a true tribute to the human spirit and your beloved sisterhood of the soul. I envy your closeness to these two obviously caring and special women.
