Oh, my Kathe-you will be the end of me I'm sure! That is a hoot and is something like I would get up to when nobody was having me under surveillance.
It is a gem of a tale, I love it, and I love the fact that you shared it with me and I got to make the first comment.*lol*
Darn Good!! Gotta tell that tale when we go on our Trans Canada Trail Ride on Saturday. We are going to a friend's house and taking the quads for a little run on the trail. Don't know where Maurice is do ya???
*lol*
Wonderful Tale I must say!!

Cannot follow up on what Bonnie has said, but I for one enjoyed the story to the fullest. "Still laughing". K.L.

Great story Kathe, and it gives me fuel for a story of my own that I had forgotten until now. Too bad I can't take you up on the invitation to lift a glass with you.

I swannee, Kathe, you can write about anything and make it sound appealing! Yes, even that unpleasant tasting wine y'all made! Your vivid use of words just gets better and better, and this tale deserved to be published in the new Chicken Soup book, so kudos to you, dear gal!
Is Maurice still around? *LOL*
Smiles across the miles,

Our dear Kathe has outdone herself again. I think we've (nearly) all sampled those bottles of homemade wine which lifted the hair off our scalps! While I can't drop in at the ranch I'll raise a glass to Kathe tonight. Any joiners?

How could Chicken Soup not snap up this story? I could almost smell the old fellow! Funny stuff, Ms. Campbell; and I assume that you still manufacture your own particular brand of the bubbly??? Barbara

Kathe - This story makes me wish I could have been on hand to lightly sample the end product of your hard labors. What's life without a little adventure?
