I, too, noticed the Harvest Moon earlier this month -- it looked like a huge orange pumpkin sitting on the horizon then it began to rise and turned yellow, then white as it rose overhead. Your story, and its details of soon-coming winter, is a good one.

Hey Fred, a great tribute to Fall and the Harvest Moon! Love the photos too. Even on the Texas Coast, October is a transitional time, tho we keep mowing the grass straight through to spring. Carol
