Biography:Born In McMinnville,Tennessee.1945 Was born with Spina Bifita birthdefect. My father was in the Navy 23 years and moved around as a child. Was home schooled till age 14, then allowed to attend public school for first time. In 1971 I married Mary Holder and we have two children, one deceased in 1999 from an auto accident. Three grandchildren. Over the years I have attended several colleges and entered the ministry at age 23 and preached for 40 years. Now retired in Stuart, Florida. There are many activities that keep me busy, camping, motorcycling, scuba diving, ham radio, woodcarving, drawing, knife making, painting, archaeology, writing, and of course I am an avid reader. The Red Cross is also another one of my endeavors of which I am an instructor of First Aid and CPR., Wilderness First Aid and a host of other subjects.

My church had a local column for the past twenty years in or town news paper The Stuart News in Stuart Florida where I now reside. It had become a weekly adventure for me in writing. Freelancing as a writer just started in the last 4 years after I retired from the ministry. Some articles I have had the fortune to get published appeared in the QST magazine for ham radio enthusiast and also in Survival Magazine, Inc. which is a web magazine. I enjoy writing about mystery and have tried several short stories but have yet to have them published. My current project is writing about my life as a survivor of Spina Bifita in an autobiography. My desire is to demonstrate to others who are struggling with this birth defect, that they can have a fruitful and rewarding life no matter what they have gone thru.. The post I have written are from that autobiography. I have the Writer's Digest Magazine to thank for finding this web sight. I am enjoying reading from it insights of other writers.
